Rozhan

The large-format mural Rozhan marks the first act of the project Creating Neighbourhood, which received support from the Dossier Internationales. This mural is the outcome of workshops and conversations conducted over months with asylum seekers at the Federal Asylum Center (BAZ). These exchanges served as inspiration for an imagined landscape—a fusion of plants and mountains from various countries, all combined in a single image. The mural is permanently integrated into the otherwise modular structure of the BAZ and is located on a terrace designed to serve as a meeting space. Through Rozhan, we aimed to create an immersive effect, allowing viewers to step into another world, one that reflects the thoughts of the asylum seekers when they think of nature.
